Интересно, что когда-то мне это действительно нравилось. Все эти чекины, "друзья на карте"... Но тогда (лет 10 назад) это было забавно и безопасно. Чем дальше, тем больше я это отсекаю.

I still hate the settings in macOS. The old UI was like zooming out to see all possible options, resembling a desktop table where everything is nicely arranged.
With the vertical settings list, you only see a limited set of items. They might be the most commonly used, and scrolling may not be a big issue, but it definitely adds complexity.
I think Apple made this change with a larger goal in mind, to eventually kill macOS and merge it with iPadOS.
I want old settings back.

TIL если использовать #uwsm с #hyprland, то ВСЕ приложения надо запускать через uwsm app -- , иначе возможно будет крашиться. Например кейбайнд для подключения к bluetooth наушникам через #bluetoothctl отрабатыват, а через 10 секунд сессия крашится. Почему, неясно, но если перед командой поставить uwsm app --, всё сразу заработает, как надо.
Думаем.

when dwarf fortress had money for a very brief period (this was before I started playing it and back when you couldn't dig down at all), players ran into a problem: a functioning society does not require 100% of its members to be productive.
so you would end up with dwarves for whom there was no work available, but because there was no work available, they could not afford any of the abundant high quality food and clothing and other goods.
and from this starting scenario and essentially physics-mandated capitalism comes a logical solution found by players.
if dwarves must complete jobs in order to earn money that they can use to purchase comfort, but comfort is extremely abundant, the solution is to create jobs that don't produce anything
and because of how Dwarf Fortress works, "pull the lever" is a job.
so players found they could build a room full of levers, not attached to anything, and assign the task of pulling each lever on repeat to whoever was available.
dwarves who could not find work otherwise would walk into the room and flip their lever from side to side, accomplishing literally nothing, until they got bored or hungry or tired and left to use the money they had "earned" to rectify that.
Tarn Adams found it was a better solution to simply delete capitalism.
and that's the story of why Dwarf Fortress no longer has an economy.

I just did a google search for "opencl image atomic", hoping to dig up information on whether or not OpenCL even has image atomics and, if so, what they look like in OpenCL C. At the very top of the page, Google's AI confidently says:

and then goes on to list the usual GL/Vulkan image atomic restrictions. It also includes some use cases for image atomics.
Then I read the spec. OpenCL does not support image atomics at all.
