Evolving AltStore PAL
In April of last year, we launched AltStore PAL in the European Union as one of the first official alternative app marketplaces on iOS thanks to the Digital Markets Act.riley (Riley Testut)
So in order to grow the team, I’m thrilled to announce AltStore has received an investment of $6 million USD from @cpaik! Chris was an early investor in Patreon & Twitch, and we’ve been close ever since he sideloaded the manga reader Paperback with AltStore years ago
Additionally, Flipboard CEO @mike will also be joining our Board of Directors! Mike’s experience with Flipboard & @surf will be invaluable as we expand to the Fediverse, and I couldn’t be happier to have both him + Chris on board
While this solves our problems, we are far from the only Fediverse project that could use some funding and we want to support the growth of the entire ecosystem.
So to give back to the open social web, we’re also donating $500,000 total to these incredible Fediverse-related projects 🎉

If I made a series of videos about something, what would you like?
The Standard Model? Grand unified theories? General relativity? Clifford algebras? The octonions? Entropy? Category theory? Quantum logic and projective geometry? Visually beautiful math?
These would all be easy, since I've got the material prepared. I don't want to explain something brand new - at least not until I've covered some of these. Each of these topics could take at least 10 videos.
(I've got a drawing tablet now, so I'm ready to make videos where I show slides of stuff and also write while I talk. It will take some practice to do it well. I thank @Garrett for offering to pay for the tablet. It proved unnecessary, but it helped push me into action.)
they are quite common. I'm astrophysisist giving public lectures around 5 years and I bellive that there are better lectures from people with higher abilities that have more time to prepare. All I have to find less covered topics. In example today I speak about stellar extinction despite another black hole or life origin type lecture.
