Вчера разговаривал с человеком, который пережил клиническую смерть.
Человека этого знаю достаточно, человек неверующий, не болобол и всегда говорит толковые вещи.

Странно, что я зарегился, но почему-то не пользовался сервизом отложенного/запланированного постинга Publer. А оказалось, что среди всех он единственных может в длиннопосты для слоновника: остальные ограничивают 500 символами либо предлагают расширение на платных тарифах.

В остальном там ± как у всех: черновики, календарь, ИИшница (вроде бесплатно, но только на английском), неработающий аддон для браузера. В общем и целом по функционалу Buffer лучше, но ограничение в 500 символов угнитает.

What i learnt from the today's mobile internet shutdown:

• essential data must be stored offline
• i should buy an external SSD with a large capacity to download archives of Wikipedia, dictionaries and other informational web sites, that i'll always take with me
• i should know phone numbers of my friends so i can send them an SMS
• and AGE/minisign keys too (or at least PGP), so we can communicate by SMS securely
• one mobile operator may have very different restrictions deployed on its infrastructure than another operator — today, on Yota, i didn't have any internet access at all (same as it was on the first days of shutdowns in Russia), while my classmate with a Beeline SIM card had a 4G/LTE connection and could access state and VK web services (this can be used for some censorship bypass techniques, which i successfully did after asking that person to enable WiFi hotspot)
• so there's a reason to have 2 SIM cards in my main smartphone, maybe keeping the second one turned off until i need it

Часто добрые герои ценят справедливость и стараются не терять человечность, даже когда обстоятельства толкают их к обратному. Иногда им приходится принимать тяжёлые решения. Иногда даже совершать поступки, которые выглядят вовсе не добрыми.

Доброта — это сложное чувство, и это лишь одна грань личности. Да, она может выражаться в мягкости, честности и открытости (что я лично обожаю), но вовсе не обязана проявляться только так.

Two of the most valuable things I learned studying psychology came from an Intro to Social Psychology course I took in 2006.

The first is the Fundamental Attribution Error, which is people's tendency to attribute other people's behavior to their inherent traits, but attribute their own behavior to circumstances.

Signal is major, and as we've grown we've heard about more of these attacks--scammy people pretending to be something or someone to trick and abuse others. 1/

Помню "налог на болванки" (на самом деле и на плееры, и даже на телефоны) - Михалкову помогли поднять с колен российских артистов.
Помню "утильсбор" - поднимают (до сих пор видимо) российский автопром.

Теперь будет "сбор на импортозамещение чипов" - в результате в РФ наверное снова начнут выпускать вот такие замечательные игры!
